Artist's Comments

This is her new favorite place to sleep. Probably not good for her (or us... if fur gets into the burners we're probably in trouble), but I guess she likes it because it's warm.

For some reason I love this shot, and I can't believe there aren't already 29348 favs on it. It's great! And I love the cute little dot on her nose :aww:

I love this one. One of the best pictures I have seen in the last days!

Her expression is priceless. She seems to want to say: You wanna cook me, chinese chef?! Come and get me!

Keeper of the stove indeed :). She almost matches it. Maybe she's going camo?

I think this is the strongest image out of the three that you posted. I don't say that because its a picture of a cat and its "cute." I say that because it looks like a finished work on a subject you have been studying with your camera for some time. The first two images look like images you took while walking around and happened to snap a nice photograph. The first two do have great use of light and color, but I think this one is the strongest due to formal elements of composition.

The cat is in an interesting pose. You could find figure studies of humans that look similar to this.
Even though the entire photograph is symmetric, it doesn't detract from the image for me. A more intense light would help the image.

I'm not really sure how to pinpoint what I'm trying to say, but it seems to me like this isn't just a snapshot of your cat. It looks studied and complete.

My advice to you would be to try to build your photographs instead of happen upon them.
